Beauty in Pain

This painting represents how the places where life hits us the hardest are the places where the light enters us.

 But only if we are open to it. There are ways to avoid our pain, to temporarily patch the holes in our hearts. But that is the fool's way out, and it takes tremendous faith and trust in ourselves to face our pain.

 We can let the light in while we are still healing from the wounds of the past if we have the courage. It lightens the load a lot to let the light in and choose to be vulnerable (pun intended).
